ICYANGWE (Loofah) Processing Machine

The A-Z Icyangwe Processing Machine turns raw natural loofah gourds (icyangwe, Luffa) into clean, uniform sponge products ready for sale. It is designed and manufactured in Rwanda by A-Z Manufacturing Ltd for cooperatives, women's groups and small enterprises that grow loofah and want to earn more by selling finished sponges instead of raw gourds.

What Natural Loofah Is Used For

• Bath and body sponges, exfoliating pads and gloves
• Kitchen and dish-scrubbing pads (a plastic-free, biodegradable alternative)
• Slippers, mats, shoe insoles, handicrafts and export products

Benefits for Your Business

• Faster, more uniform processing than hand work, with higher daily output and consistent quality
• Less labour and less waste of raw material
• Better-looking finished product that earns better prices from local shops, hotels and export buyers
• Supports eco-friendly, plastic-free products, a growing market in Rwanda and abroad

Construction

• Heavy-duty welded steel frame for stable, vibration-free operation
• Electric motor drive with belt transmission and safety guards
• Designed for easy cleaning and simple maintenance, with spare parts available locally from A-Z

A-Z Support

• Installation, operator training and after-sales service across Rwanda
